The Show:
Winner of 8 TONY Awards including Best Musical, “Spring Awakening” graphically
celebrates the unforgettable journey from youth to adulthood with a power, honesty,
poignancy and sexual passion you will never forget. Based on the legendary 1891 play,
banned from production for over 70 years, this stunning musical provides a rich challenge to our extravagantly talented grad for the last few OK seasons. This production will explore the trial, fears and exhilaration of the teen years with courageous professionalism.

Eligibility:
This project is open to any former Main Cast member, 18 years or older as of June 22, 2012, of the Original Kids Theatre Company over its 21 year history.

Audition Dates:
Saturday, February 18th (1-5pm) / Saturday February 25th (1-5pm) / Friday March 2nd (1-4pm) at the Spriet Family Theatre, Covent Garden Market.

Audition Requirements:
Please prepare 1 pop-rock song from the Broadway catalogue, in the style of “Spring
Awakening” (Rent, Next to Normal, Jesus Christ Superstar, etc.). An accompanist will be
provided. Sheet music should be prepared in a 3-ring binder. No acapella, CD
accompaniment or songs from “Spring Awakening” will be accepted.

Show Information:
Rehearsals will begin in May 2012 and will run June 22-30 at the Spriet Family Theatre.
